Mei: Sasshu Ju Minamoto Moriatsu Tsukuru 薩州住源盛篤作 - Date: Autumn 1990 - real name Fujita Shinichi 藤田新- was born in 1934 in Kagoshima prefecture and lerned under the first Moriatsu. Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune, Toriizori, jihada is a Itame with running tendencies and coarse Jinie granule attaches on the surface. The Hamon is Gunome with abundant Ashi activities. Boshi- temper line: Notarekomi with rich Hakikake activities and turns back Komaru. Nagasa: 72,5 cm. Habaki: Solid silver base. Perfect polish, no defect. Comes with sageo and brokade bag. We would like to recommend this sword to Iai practitioners as it has a light weight and takes a wonderful balance.

Koshirae: Itomakinotachi, Meiji era, and for Iaido practice a beautiful modern Katana koshirae with same saja and Edo period tsuba design of Sakura no Ki trunk, limbs and blossom of cherry. Flowers are carved in katakiri bori and their center are inlaid in yamagane; Sakura (cherry) symbolizes bravery and the desire for purity that were cherished in the heart of a samurai.
